► Housing
The following housing pages offer advice on your rights when living in the private sector (and some is relevant if you're in campus accommodation). If you are a council/housing association tenant or have a mortgage, please contact the Advice & Representation Centre directly for advice.
If you're looking for somewhere to live, have a look at the University's on-line database at www.yourstudentpad.co.uk for students seeking accommodation. This is the best place to start as students have told us in the annual union Rate Your Landlord Survey that they had the best experiences renting from a landlord directly, rather than through an agency!
See our useful Moving On resource guide here for info including what to do when moving in and moving out, an inventory checklist, tips for reducing your fuel bills and improving home security.
