University of Sussex Bar Society
The society aims to be a collective for students from all disciplines and of all years, whether aspiring to the Bar or the legal profession generally, to come together at a wide range of events which will be informative and encouraging towards a legal career, and more specifically the work of the Bar.
It aims to provide members with the opportunity to gain insight into the Inns of Court and the work of the Bar by organising events in conjunction with the Inns which will take place both on University Campus and at the Inns of Court. It also aims to provide members with the opportunity for develop skills for working at the Bar by hosting workshops, guest speakers and debates both on University Campus and at the Inns of Cour and to provide members with the opportunity to come together, in both formal and social settings, to meet students, practising Barristers and others in order to discuss experiences and expectations of working at the Bar
