Welcome to Sussex!
Whatever you're into, you're in for a great time here at Sussex. USSU, the Students' Union, is here to help make your time at university one of the best experiences of your life. We're offering a huge spectrum of entertainment throughout the year and Freshers Week is a taster of all this, with every day dedicated to your enjoyment. Check out our events listing for full details. Freshers Week starts on Saturday 22nd September and most of our welcome events take place during the following week before term starts on Monday 1st October.
Have a look around this site for all the latest information on what's going on during your first week at university and beyond. There'll be loads more details awaiting you on arrival, with lots of publicity and the USSU Welcome Team running around in red t-shirts all week selling tickets and answering your questions.
