WELCOME TO ISOC MINISITE

First of all, we would like to thank you for expressing an interest towards the Society. Otherwise without any interest or (may be) curiosity, you wouldn't even bothered checking our Minisite. We really appreciate your visit. So please let this be the portal that connects us to you.
As are most of the other Societies, we stand on some values and aims as well as motives that keeps us running. And the most important motive and aim, is to provide you with the warmest welcome that you'll never find anywhere else (unless probably from your loved ones, but that's only natural =D).
As Sister Naeema mentioned in the Eid Party of 2008;
"We are not here to judge anyone! Hence everyone is welcomed regardless of their religion or belief.So if anyone wants to pass any judgement, they can do it somewhere else! Because we haven't got the time and place to support or even tolerate this behaviour."
We definitely agree with this statement. We are not here to say what is wrong and what isn't. Because as an adult, everyone should already know what their limits are and what their responsibilities are; be it towards themselves or others.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES

THE SOCIETY
So basically, what we aimed for is to provide a place where people could come and enjoy 'halal' activities. Yes, it is hard being a Muslim living in a non-Muslim country. And as a Fresher (especially), the hardest part is that most of the Socials organised by most of the Societies involves alcoholic drinks and going to pubs, bars and clubs. And these leaves us with nothing to do as we are not able to join them.
On the other hand, we are also trying to educate people and create an awareness about Islam. Trying to rid the stigma that is related to the image of Islam as well as trying to initiate an understanding and build a bridge between the different religions and beliefs.
We are motivated by the enthusiasm that people shows towards the Society. Well, basically... the Society is for everyone! We run it to your best interest, hence if you have got any good ideas as to how we could run the Society better or how to organise a better event, please never hesitate to get in contact with us.
LAST WORDS
So please do get back to us. Innovative and creative ideas are always welcomed! And if anyone wants to join and help us run the Society, they are more than welcomed to get in contact with us.
Another important note is that, it doesn't cost you a thing to join this society. Although, we encourage some generous contribution/donation in order to keep the Society up and running all year round.
