Welcome to Project V
Project V is the ‘Student Community Action’ scheme at the University of Sussex. We offer students the opportunity to volunteer in a wide variety of local community projects. Our aim is to provide safe and supported volunteering opportunities that benefit both students and the wider local community.
Volunteering is a really enjoyable way of making a difference in the local community and provides a fantastic opportunity for developing key skills for your future career. On top of that it’s a great way to make new friends and get a totally different perspective of living in Brighton and Hove.
We are an Accessible Scheme
Project V is open to ALL students. We can organise information in a range of formats depending on your needs and our office is fully accessible for students who use wheelchairs. We make sure that all our volunteering opportunities are Safe and Supported for ALL our students.
Summer Vacation Volunteering
If you have some time over the summer vacation period, why not think about volunteering?
Summer vacation volunteering is a great way to gain a valuable taster of a particular field of community work without having to commit to anything longer term and having to juggle volunteering with studying. Additionally, for those of you thinking of your future career, the fact that you will have engaged in something constructive during your summer vacation can only enhance your CV.
