► Wine Society Information
Hi there all and welcome to the Sussex Wine Society. We’re exactly what our name suggests only with the added twist that we don’t limit ourselves to wine. What we are all about is introducing people to the finer aspects of the world of alcoholic beverages while having a great fun. Were also about breaking down the needless snobbery, linguistic and quite frankly social barriers that often prevent people from entering the world of fine beverages.
Our bread and butter as you might expect is wine, the king of all fine alcoholic beverages. We organize tastings throughout the year based on all manors of different wines. From the old world legends from Bordeaux and Champaign, the unknown world of Portuguese wines, the rather strange and probably drug induced world of biodynamic wine right through to the ever improving and often great wines from the new world, we do it all!
However we’ve taken the decision to venture out into other fine beverages this year with plans in place for fine beer and fine spirit events and even cocktail evenings that will be brought to us with the help of our friends at Campari.
Though alcohol might be central to what we do, having fun is the most important part of the society. To keep things interesting, we often organize our evenings around live music and other events as well as linking with different societies. So if your looking to find out about some great tasting beverages, lookinging for a great way to start your evenings partying with your friends or looking for a place to have great fun meeting new people our events are going to be perfect for you.
